What is CricketGuessr?
CricketGuessr is a free daily guessing game for cricket fans. Every day at midnight IST, a new mystery cricketer is revealed. Your job is to guess who it is in 8 tries or fewer, using clues from 7 attributes: Country, Role, Batting Style, Bowling Style, IPL Team, Age, and Formats.
Whether you're a hardcore cricket statistician or a casual fan who follows the IPL, CricketGuessr offers a fun daily challenge that tests your knowledge of the global cricket landscape.
Built by Cricket Fans, for Cricket Fans
CricketGuessr was created by a cricket-loving developer who grew up watching every IPL season, following international tours, and debating the greatest players of all time. The idea was simple: bring the addictive daily puzzle format — popularized by games like Wordle — to the cricket community.
Every player in the database has been manually researched and verified. Each attribute — from bowling style categories to format appearances — is curated from official sources like ESPNcricinfo and the ICC. The database is regularly updated to reflect IPL roster changes, new international debutants, and career milestones.
CricketGuessr is an independent project and is not affiliated with the ICC, BCCI, IPL, or any cricket board. Player names and career data are used for informational and entertainment purposes.

- Orange means close (same category)
- Gray means no match
- Age shows ⬆️ or ⬇️ arrows to help you narrow down
- After guess 5, unlock a hint to reveal one attribute
- Share your result with friends using the share button!
The Database
Our database includes 279 cricketers from 14 countries — current internationals, IPL stars, and all-time legends. From Sachin Tendulkar to Jasprit Bumrah, from Don Bradman to Babar Azam. The roster spans Test, ODI, and T20I cricket, covering players from India, Australia, England, Pakistan, South Africa, New Zealand, West Indies, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Zimbabwe, Afghanistan, Ireland, Netherlands, and Nepal.
