IPL Guessing Game — Guess the IPL Player
The Ultimate IPL Knowledge Test
The Indian Premier League is the biggest T20 cricket league in the world, featuring stars from every cricket-playing nation. CricketGuessr puts your IPL roster knowledge to the test — can you identify a mystery cricketer using their IPL franchise as one of 7 clues?
Whether it's identifying a CSK stalwart from their age and batting style, recognizing an MI pace bowler from their country and bowling category, or narrowing down an RCB star from format and role clues — your knowledge of IPL squads across seasons is the key to solving the puzzle.
All 10 IPL Franchises in the Game
Players from every current IPL franchise are included in the database. Each team's players carry their franchise tag as a clue attribute, making IPL knowledge a powerful solving tool.
How the IPL Team Clue Works
The IPL team attribute shows the player's current or most recent franchise. Here's how to read the clue:
The mystery player is also from CSK. With team + country, you can often narrow to 2-3 players.
The mystery player is NOT from MI. This eliminates all Mumbai Indians players from your search.
If your guess shows "None" and it's gray, the mystery player HAS played IPL. This clue alone splits the database in half.
IPL-Specific Strategy Tips
- Start with a popular IPL player: Guessing someone like MS Dhoni (CSK), Rohit Sharma (MI), or Virat Kohli (RCB) gives you a franchise data point immediately.
- Franchise + Country narrows fast: If you match the IPL team (green) and know the country, there are usually only 2-4 players fitting that combination.
- Watch for overseas players: Each IPL team has a limited number of overseas slots. If the country clue is non-Indian and the IPL team is green, the pool shrinks dramatically.
- Use "None" strategically: If a guess shows "None" for IPL, switch to guessing international specialists or associate nation players who haven't played in the league.
- Mega auction knowledge helps: Knowing which players switched teams in recent auctions gives you an edge when the IPL clue is green but other attributes don't match your initial assumption.
